Keeping My Costco Membership

I have decided to keep my Costco membership and renewed it for another year.  Even though I don’t shop there a ton, I do enjoy going there and I like a lot of the products that they sell.  The clothing section is where I think I spent the most time last year as I replaced several worn items I needed as well as some much needed updated bath towels.  Plus, as you all know by now I really love their rotisserie chickens.

I didn’t do everything I planned initially.  I didn’t buy tires for my truck yet (I've put less than 200 miles on it so far this year).  I didn’t get an eye exam or new glasses yet.  I didn’t stock my freezer with their good quality meat.  Yet.  I have enjoyed their frozen produce quite a bit and I am planning to restock the deep freezer with more of that.  I do get some of my medication there too, at a significant savings.

So while I may not be using my membership to its fullest I do enjoy having it and have decided that I’ll keep it as my main “luxury item” for now.  I do think as I head into the coming year that I will be using it more and more, especially as I continue my journey on the REAL Food path.  I’ll let you know this time next year I how did and if I actually end up using it more.

  1. I have considered a Costco membership for years, and just never did it. I think it would be lots of fun, plus they have good savings on gas. I'm getting weary of HEB and the hoops I have to jump through to get a good deal.

  3. I really enjoyed your blog! I agree with the highlights about Costco! I find that their Kirkland beans are a great deal. Also, the gas.
